RILA's Retail Track at the 2019 Sustainable Brands is seeking speakers for the conference. Speakers for RILA's education programs provide an invaluable educational and leadership training service and, in return, speakers receive an unparalleled opportunity to elevate their standing in the retail industry. We’re looking for innovative business leaders to present their strategies, successes, and learnings on addressing the circular economy in breakout sessions including: -
Innovative approaches, including experimenting with new business models, the use of disruptive/game-changing technologies, data analytics and prescriptive analytics -
Conducting materiality assessments and gap analyses to identify the company’s, and its stakeholders, biggest priorities. -
Setting goals and strategies, relating to circular economy or components of it – take-back, renting, carbon or energy, recycling, products or packaging, and responsible sourcing. -
Effectively leading your teams. | -
Executing on circular economy tactics, focusing on carbon & energy, waste & recycling, water, chemicals, packaging, products, and supply chains. -
Communicating and engaging key stakeholders; most notably, telling relatable and effective stories to consumers. -
Igniting culture changes internally by engaging senior executives in core business functions: buyers, merchandising, marketing, etc. -

Speaker Requirements To be considered as a speaker, your submission must demonstrate the ability to: -
Focus on Enabling the Circular Economy for Retailers. -
Provide compelling, timely, relevant and unbiased educational content to a business audience made up of top executives, including EVPs, SVPs, VPs and their direct reports, from the largest and most visible retailers. -
Can effectively engage an audience of 50 - 100 people for up to 45 minutes. -
Provide relevant and actionable takeaways for the audience attending. -
Refrain from selling products and/or services during the session. Any proposal that appears as if it constitutes a sales pitch in any way will not be considered.
